Question 1

What countries does Hima Run cover?

Accepted Answer

Hima Run covers trail and ultra running races across 8 countries in Southeast Asia and Greater China: Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

Question 2

How many trail races are listed on Hima Run?

Accepted Answer

Hima Run currently lists 759 race distances across Southeast Asia and China, covering distances from 5K trail runs to 100-mile ultras. The calendar is updated weekly with new events.

Question 3

Is Hima Run free to use?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Hima Run is completely free for runners. You can browse the full race calendar, filter by country, distance, and date, and access race details including elevation profiles, entry fees, and registration links — all without paying or creating an account.

Question 4

What is KM-Effort and how is race difficulty calculated?

Accepted Answer

KM-Effort (Kilometre-Effort) combines distance and elevation gain into a single difficulty score: KM-Effort = distance (km) + elevation gain (m) / 100. This is consistent with the ITRA and UTMB methodology. A KM-Effort of 80 means the race is roughly as demanding as running 80 km on flat terrain.

Question 5

Which trail races in Asia give UTMB or ITRA points?

Accepted Answer

Hima Run displays official ITRA endurance points, mountain levels, and UTMB index race status for qualifying races across Asia. Use the filters on the race calendar to find UTMB index races or ITRA-rated events in your target country.

Question 6

How often is the race calendar updated?

Accepted Answer

The Hima Run calendar is updated weekly. New races are discovered from major aggregators and official sources, then individually verified against each race's official website for accuracy. Race details like registration status and entry fees are re-checked regularly.
